East Credit, formerly known as Heartland, is a newer develpment of the city, built from the late 90's onwards. With the zoning shift, it now includes Credit Point which is a very small, very elegant pocket of homes along the credit river south of Eglinton. It also includes a sub-division called Olde English Lane, nestled along the north end of Credit River, which was once a very elegant area but has fallen into disrepair over the past 10 years. For the rest of the area, it has failed to impress in terms of upkeep. The curb appeal is very low in the majority of areas, which is often a strong indication of how well the homes have been taken care of on the inside as well. The area will always be in demand due to its location, but is often not the area I first recommend to my family buyers, unless the need for that location supercedes all other requirements.
