Cooksville was once the centre of it all. Formerly the city centre of Mississauga before they moved it north on Hurontario, Cooksville was a great example of the urban mix. Though this village has some of the least desireable areas of the city, filled with apartment rentals, low end housing, and low end retail, it also boasts some of the most spectacular homes the entire city has to offer. This area is ideal for anyone who wants to be close to the action, with all of the amenities and transportation a big city can offer. People at all price points can afford something in Cooksville, and if you've never seen the Stavebank/Gordon Woods neighbourhood along the Queensway, I highly recommend a Sunday drive.
